Practical Training on Applying the EFSE Green List in Horizonti MFI’s Lending Process

As part of the project “Developing and Introducing Management Systems for Identifying, Measuring and Managing Environmental Risks and Opportunities at Horizonti MFI”, funded by the EFSE Development Facility and implemented by EPI CENTAR International, a practical training session for Horizonti’s credit officers was held today.

The training focused on the practical application of the EFSE Green List in the lending process and the role of credit officers in identifying and classifying green investments.

The participants discussed the effects of climate change on agriculture, the need to adapt agricultural production, and concrete investments related to the efficient use of water and resources, soil protection, renewable energy, waste reduction, and sustainable crop and livestock production.

Special attention was given to practical examples and the economic viability of investments, considering the specific needs and capacities of small-scale farmers.
