In a series of trainings for farmers held in Strumica and Radovis, this time it was discussed about the importance of pH value in the production of seedlings, as well as protection against pests in fruit crops within the third cycle of the Strumica River Management project, with the aim of protecting it and increasing the sustainability of agricultural production in terms of environmental protection.
Prof. Vejkoslav Tanaskovic held a training on the importance of pH in seedling production, on which he talked about seedling production in water containers, V-shaped pepper harvest and other details related to seedling.
Stanislava Lazarevska delivered training on possible pest protection methods on fruit plantations, such as plum and peach pest protection, as well as agro-technical and mechanical and biological protection measures.
In partnership with local agricultural producers, the Project implements activities to increase the competitiveness of agricultural production in the region and reduce its environmental impact through the introduction of modern, agro-environmental measures.
The consulting company EPI CENTAR International from Skopje is also engaged in the project.
The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with a number of local and national partners.
